There was a song I loved back in the eighty’s called “ Words”, and it said “words don’t come easy to me”.
I bet you’re thinking that there are some people out there that don’t have that problem. Words just seem to flow out of their mouths. The problem is that sometimes they come out faster than their brain has time to analyse what it is they’re actually trying to communicate. It’s usually followed by the words, “ That’s not what I meant to say” and then, “I’m sorry for the misunderstanding”.
Our words are the most powerful tools we possess and to find the right words in difficult situations is most challenging. They can easily build someone up but also tear them down.
This Sabbath we will look at the life of the “son of encouragement “, Barnabas, and how his life lead to the building up of two great Apostles for Jesus.
Thank you for joining us as we cobine with Smithton SDA Church on the beautiful far North West coast of Tasmania.
